Combine his love of jazz flavours with deep house and you should be able to hear 'Sanctuary' in your minds ear. It's blessed with chords that creep up on you from nowhere and leave as they arrived - with very little fuss and sizzling dementia. Shakers highlight the keys and appear like a rattlesnake out of a desert bush, warning that dancefloor danger is imminent. The double bass is chilled but gives this cut a real jumpy feel, whilst the whispered female vocal adds extra deepness to this slammin' cut. 'Exit 16' finds sparkling jazzy keys dribbling over the chugging percussion like syrup; slow, real slow. A muted horn blows and makes this an essential addition to any jazz / house collection. A tasty 'Exit 16' bonus track and a 'Sanctuary' reprise make this essential early door DJ fodder.
